The event will be held in accordance with the special rules of the Ibaraki Mountain Bike Cup.
1Eligibility
1-1 Healthy men and women aged 13 or over who can follow the special rules for the event.
1-2 Anyone aged 18 or over who can agree to the terms and conditions posted on a separate page.
Minors must have parental consent to participate.
At the organizers' discretion, participants under the age of 13 may be allowed to participate.
2Line up at the starting line
2-1 They shall be lined up in order of body numbers.
2-2 Body numbers are assigned randomly.
2-3 Competitors can choose which grid they want to sit on.
2-4 If there is no response after two calls, the next player will be called.
2-5 Any competitors who arrive late must notify the umpire of their intention to participate.
2-6 Late-arriving competitors may line up once they have been cleared by the judges to start.
2-7 Once competitors have lined up, they will not be allowed to go off course to warm up or do other activities.
3Start
3-1 The start is given by the commissaire using the following the procedure: warnings 3, 1 minutes and 30 seconds before the start, then a final announcement that the start is given within the next 15 seconds.
3-2 A starting pistol or start lights, if none is available, a whistle, is used to give the start.
3-3 A competitor who starts falsely will be placed at the back of the pack.
4Missed course
4-1 If a rider exits the course for any reason, he/she must return to the course between the same two course markers where he/she exited.In case a rider fails to return to the course as provided for in this article, the commissaires’ panel can disqualify the rider.
5Conduct of riders
5-1 A rider must act in a sporting manner at all times and must permit any faster rider to overtake without obstructing.
6Telecommunications Equipment
6-1 Competitors are not permitted to use radios or remote communication devices.
7Bicycle regulations
7-1 During MTB races no traditional road handlebars may be used.
7-2 Mountainbike use only.
7-3 Only the e-bike class allows the use of electrically assisted mountain bikes.Battery changes are not permitted during the race.
7-4 We recommend frames that have the UCI certification mark affixed.
8Clothing
8-1 All competitors must wear helmets.
8-2 We recommend using a helmet with the JCF certification mark.
8-3 Cycling clothing is recommended.
9Feed/Technical Assistance zone
9-1 Feeding is permitted only in the zones designated for that purpose, which are also used as technical assis tance zones.
9-2 The zone is called Feed/Technical Assistance zone.
9-3 No license is required to enter the resupply zone.
9-4 Physical contact between feeders/mechanics and riders is permitted only in feed/technical assistance zones.
9-5 Water bottles and food must be passed up to the rider by hand by the feeder or the mechanic.
9-6 The feeder or mechanic is not permitted to run alongside his rider.
9-7 No rider may turn back on the course to reach a feeding/technical assistance zone. Any rider doing so is disqualified.
9-8 Only within the feed/technical assistance zone itself, a rider may turn back without obstructing other competitors.
9-9 Authorised technical assistance during a race consists of repairs to or the replacement of any part of the bicycle other than the frame. Bike changes are not permitted and the rider must cross the finish line with the same handlebar number plate that he had at the start.
9-10 Technical assistance can only be given in the feed/technical assistance zones.
9-11 Technical support outside of supply zones may be provided between teammates.
9-12 Riders may carry tools and spare parts provided that these do not involve any danger to the rider himself or the other competitors.
10Number of laps(Cross-Country Short Time)
10-1 Based on the competitors' lap times the day before the competition, the number of laps that can be completed in approximately 30 minutes will be determined and announced on the day of the competition.
10-2 The number of laps may change suddenly depending on the weather and the condition of the athletes.
10-3 The tournament may be cancelled in the event of a natural disaster or a serious accident.
11Number of laps(Cross-Country Long)
11-1 The number of laps that can be completed in approximately 60 to 90 minutes will be determined based on the lap times from the day before the race and will be announced on the day of the race.
11-2 The number of laps may change suddenly depending on the weather and the condition of the athletes.
11-3 The tournament may be cancelled in the event of a natural disaster or a serious accident.

12-1 The race ends when the first competitor finishes.
12-2 When multiple categories compete in the same time slot and with the same number of laps, the finish of the leader of any category will mark the finish of the other categories as well.
13Test ride
13-1Competitors will not be able to conduct official training until they have completed the check-in process.
13-2You will not be able to take part in any official training unless you have your handlebar number card attached.
13-3You will not be able to receive your handlebar number card unless you complete the course walk.
14Awards
14-1 Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in all categories and all race.
In the Masters category, awards will be given for each age group: M40, M50, M55 M60 and M65+.
14-2 In principle, this will be done immediately after the third place finishers are confirmed, but if there are classes at the same time, it will be done when those classes are finally confirmed.
14-3 If there are other events taking place at the same time, the event may take place after the start of the next event.
14-4 Attendance is mandatory for those receiving the award.
15Objection
15-1 Competitors and competition officials will not be able to raise any objections.
